Michelle Kay, Administration & Executive Assistant, NSW Taxi Council

"Hello, my name is Michelle Kay and I work within Administration for the NSW Taxi Council and am also the Executive Assistant for the CEO and Deputy CEO. I have now been working within the Taxi Industry for twelve months. I previously worked in The Human Resources, Workplace Health and Safety and Training area."

Who is someone you admire, and why?
My Mum, for her guidance, strength and sense of purpose. Recently she was a Finalist for Volunteer of the Year (VIC) 2020 and the Kingston Council Woman of the Year 2020.
What's a typical day like for you?
Assisting new Drivers to enter the NSW Taxi Industry; forwarding callers to the knowledgeable NSW Taxi Council Staff Members who can assist them; managing the administration of the NSW Taxi Council Office and Executive Assistant to the NSW Taxi Council CEO and DCEO.

If you could be anywhere other than here, right now, where would you be?
In a COVID-19 free world.

Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about?
I am a qualified Aromatherapy and Massage Therapist.

How do you want people to remember you?
I would like people to remember me as a Good Egg who was useful and brought people together.

Finish this sentence. On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me...
If I am not working on a Special Event you would find me out and about walking my Border Collie named Badger, getting my daily steps up, and stopping for a Skinny Cap at one of the numerous coffee shops in my neighbourhood.
