Contact your lending institution and request a reprieve on all mortgage repayments – banks have announced they will defer payments but interest will still accumulate. |
Renting Your Home |
If you rent your home, contact your agent and request a stop on all rental payments – landlords may be able to have mortgage repayments suspended for a period, the benefit of which should be passed on to the tenants. The Federal Government was working on rules to prevent evictions at the end of March. |

Work with your accountant to review the Federal Government stimulus package for business cashflow; to check your eligibility go to business.gov.au. |
Small Business |
Check the Victorian State Government small business stimulus packages at business.vic.gov.au. |
ATO Help |
Call the ATO’s Emergency Support Infoline (1800 806 218) or your accountant to discuss tax relief options, variation of instalments or deferral of tax payments for GST, PAYG, income tax. |
Centrelink |
Go to Centrelink and check your entitlements for government assistance payments – family benefits, Jobseeker allowance and Newstart – register your intent to claim at my.gov.au and all payments will be backdated. |

Utilities |
Contact your utility providers – water, electricity, gas, phone and mobile – to seek relief from payments or discuss payment plan options. |
